Following the conclusion of the Kansas City Super Bowl Parade, a shocking incident unfolded as a man, his wife, and son were shot. Jacob Gooch Sr., the victim, reported that just before the shots were fired, he overheard a woman cautioning a man in the crowd, urging him not to proceed with his actions, emphasizing the senselessness of the act in that location.

Eye-Witness Testimony

Gooch recounted that his wife and daughter witnessed the shooter spinning in a circle while firing, indicating a potential attempt to harm as many individuals as possible. Additionally, he mentioned observing a group of 4 to 6 individuals wearing black masks and clothing, whom he found suspicious. These individuals vanished into the crowd approximately 15 minutes before the shooting occurred.

Aftermath of the Shooting

The consequences of the shooting were severe, with numerous individuals sustaining injuries. Tragically, a female radio DJ lost her life, and a total of 22 people were reported injured, including 11 children aged between 6 to 15 years old. Gooch himself suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle, while his wife was shot in the chest, and his son in the foot. Fortunately, all three are in stable condition.
