‘Home Alone’ Actor Devin Ratray Pleads Guilty In Domestic Violence Case

Devin Ratray, known for his role as Buzz in the popular movie “Home Alone,” has pleaded guilty in a domestic violence case in Oklahoma, bringing an end to a legal saga that has been ongoing for nearly three years.

Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Ratray pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence and was sentenced by a judge. As part of the resolution, he will be on probation for the next three years. Additionally, he has been ordered to complete a Batterers Intervention Program and undergo a drug/alcohol assessment. He is also required to cover court costs and have no contact with the victim.

The Allegations

The charges stemmed from an incident in December 2021, during which Ratray was accused of pushing, punching, and pressing his hands against his ex-girlfriend’s throat and mouth during a drunken altercation. He was arrested on felony domestic assault and battery by strangulation, as well as misdemeanor domestic assault and battery. Despite initially pleading not guilty in February 2022, Ratray has now accepted a plea deal.

Legal Proceedings

The case faced delays, including a recent setback when Ratray’s lawyers informed the judge that he had been hospitalized “in critical condition.” However, he has since recovered, allowing the legal process to come to a close.
