Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, brought smiles to the faces of young victims of the tragic parade shooting in Kansas City. The couple visited a local hospital to lift the spirits of those affected by the devastating incident.

Mahomeses’ Heartwarming Visit

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes made a special visit to the hospital to meet with an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old who were injured in the shooting that occurred following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration at Union Station. Both girls, part of the Reyes family, sustained leg injuries and underwent surgery to address their wounds.

During their visit, the Mahomeses were able to bring joy to the young girls, who were visibly overjoyed and even posed for pictures with big grins on their faces. The couple also brought gifts, with the girls seen holding miniature Chiefs helmets.

Gratitude and Support

The Reyes family, who tragically lost a member in the shooting, expressed their gratitude for the Mahomeses’ visit, thanking the staff of Children’s Mercy Hospital and Patrick & Brittany Mahomes for their care, love, and support.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to aid the girls and their family in their recovery, raising an impressive $54,000 thus far. The shooting, which occurred just after Mahomes had addressed the rally, resulted in 23 people being struck by bullets, with at least half of the victims being under 16 years old.

Legal Proceedings

Two juveniles have been charged in connection with the shooting, and authorities have indicated that additional charges may follow as the investigation continues.
